Pole fitness is definitely no boring gym routine! You'll certainly know you've worked out after class as Pole fitness really is a full body work out, helping you to strengthen your core, build muscle, become more flexible, tighten, tone and lose weight. But for us, one of the most important things with our Pole classes is to help you build your body confidence. We run very supportive, friendly and fun classes for everyone from beginners to advanced and we know you'll feel welcome the second you walk in the door, even if you've never done anything like this before. Our classes are perfect for men’s fitness too and we’d love to see you there. Yes, men can do Pole and very well. It’s excellent for strength building, toning and flexibility! And it doesn't matter what size you are or what your fitness level is. All that matters is that you're willing to come along, have a go and have fun with it. Our experienced instructors will help you along your Pole fitness journey at a pace that suits you, while making sure you work out and progress to get to where you want to be. BEGINNER COURSES

Especially for newbies, our beginners courses will soon have you feeling like you’ve been coming for years!

PAY AND GO GROUP CLASSES

Most of our group classes are P&G and we have mixed ability and levelled classes.

WORKSHOP

Learn a particular skill with our highly focused workshops that let you really get to grips with new techniques. Different types of workshops held every month!

SEMI PRIVATE

Want to learn in a focused session with more attention from tutors? Our semi-private classes are for just five people. Find our semis on the calendar schedule.

PRIVATE

Perfect your techniques and work on your form in our private classes with instructors available just for you. To book a Private class, contact us directly with the times / days that suit you.

GRADING AND CERTIFICATIONS

Feel accomplished by achieving certification in pole and aerial hoop! Our grading and certifications are completely free and complimentary. Work hard in your sessions and become graded. This also helps our students to know when the time is right to move up our levelled classes!

BEGINNER

LEVEL 1

All of our new customers starting their pole or aerial hoop journey will start on a level 1 basis and will work towards getting their level 1 certificates in class. Our level 1 sessions work on building strength, stamina and beginner ability movements which sets you up for our level 2 classes.

IMPROVER

LEVEL 2

All customers who have achieved their level 1 certificates are welcomed to join our level 2 sessions in aerial hoop or pole and advance their journey further. In level 2 you will start to touch upon the more daring upside down movements and families of moves.

INTERMEDIATE

LEVEL 3

Once a good foundation of the level 2 movement families is achieved and our students are graded as a level 2 they are welcome to join our level 3 sessions to advance their knowledge and skill for putting movements into combinations and staying “in the air” for longer periods of time.

ELITE

LEVEL 4

Our level 4 sessions really push our students to achieve the highest level of combination and routine work whilst incorporating incredible and difficult tricks.

FAQ

We suggest shorts and a workout top as the skin on your legs enables better grip, however if you feel uncomfortable in shorts, leggings are fine until you build confidence and feel relaxed in your classes. In the colder months, we also suggest wearing something warm on your feet as the flooring can be cold.

We suggest bringing a drink, a sweat towel and a hair tie (if you have long hair). As you progress in the sport you may wish to purchase grip aids if you need them (we recommend dry hands however if you would like more advice, please speak to your instructor or contact us directly) .

Our classes are very laid back and all about having fun! At Mission Studios we pride ourselves on team spirit. Ensuring you feel a part of our community and making friends along the way is essential to us. Our instructors work hard to make you feel comfortable and give you moves that are achievable and at your specific level.

Our classes are scheduled for 1 hour with an overspill timeframe of 15 minutes if the instructor feels longer is needed.

Our main casual group class offering is ‘Mixed Ability’ (catering to all levels) however, we also offer Beginner Courses in all areas. These courses are aimed at new customers who haven’t tried Arial Fitness or it has been a while since they took a class. These courses are fantastic at providing the foundational knowledge and experience needed to build confidence and create a passion for our sport. Completing a
Beginner Course provides the fundamentals you will need to succeed. You can attend these Courses
as many times as you like, then when you feel ready, you can join our mixed ability sessions for some
higher level training.

Not at all, you shall build strength as you progress through the moves. You don’t need prior strength or experience to join any of our classes/courses. All moves are tailored to your strength, ability and experience. The majority of our Students start their Aerial journey with little strength, the beauty about the sport is it creates so much strength in such a short time frame.

No, there are many moves that don’t require any flexibility. Also, your instructor will be able to alter a move to accommodate your flexibility parameters. The majority of our students find their flexibility increase’s with their new found strength, also certain moves provide a stretching element…better yet, we offer Flexibility classes to assist with achieving certain stretch moves quicker (splits anyone?). Check out our timetable.

We welcome everyone and will do our best to make you feel comfortable and welcomed even if you are on your own. Attending on your own for the first time can be daunting but we promise to give you an exciting and new experience! Our other students are always friendly and accommodating..and generally love to help out!

Please do not moisturise on the day of your booked class. Moisturiser makes your hands/body slippery which will prevent you from gripping the equipment. Washing your hands with washing up liquid can help to remove unwanted oils from your hands before attending (this is particularly useful if you use creams on a daily basis – beauticians, hair dressers etc).

For our Mixed Ability groups and Beginner Courses we welcome teenagers from the age of 12+.
However, these must be booked by a parent / guardian who gives permission for you to attend.
Parents / guardians are not required to sit through the class however but they must check in with
the instructor when dropping you off/picking you up – therefore we request the parent /guardian to
arrive 10 minutes before the class start and finish time.

Depending on the type of class you would like to book, depends on the process. If you would like to book general, group, 1 off workshop sessions or semi-private classes, please visit our Book Now section of the website and book through our online platform (GymCatch) to secure your space. Gymcatch will show you what is available and when through a calendar system which gives you the option to look at what is available per day. If you would like to book a course or a Private Class, please check the next FAQ.

We have a number of private sessions available to book on our book now calendar schedule. To take a look at what’s available go to the book now section and put a filter on for personal training, this will bring up all of the private sessions already available for you to book. If these privates don’t suit your timeframe and you would like another day and time, please contact us directly (email, phone,text or Social Media) to arrange this. Depending on Instructor and Studio availability, Private classes can be booked at a time to suit you.

We have a number of beginner level 1 courses in pole and aerial running at our venues for new customers to book. These can be booked through the book now section by clicking on the courses tab located just above the schedule. Clicking the courses tab will bring up all current and future courses running. Choose the area, type and day that suits you and click the details button to read more about the course and book your place.
